Dexy Creation Debuts SS24 Collection at British Council Creative Showcase.

On the 24th of March 2024, Dexy Creation unveiled its SS24 collection at the #IAM4ART creative showcase hosted by the British Council in Lagos. 

Since its inception, Dexy Creation has positioned itself as one of Nigeria’s most unique fashion brands. Their approach to style and clothing production gives room for personal development and self-realization in alignment with the brand’s core focus of bringing positive social change in women-centric spaces. 

Adaeze Onu and Ibukun Oluleye, the brand’s designers, are the driving forces behind Dexy Creation’s exploits in the fashion world and continue to craft the brand’s image and clothing with delicate and meticulous execution. They continue to leave their imprint on every space they touch.

The brand attracted the attention of fashion lovers and enthusiasts alike with their showcases at prestigious events. Dexy Creation made another significant debut showcasing the AFARA SS24 collection at the British Council #IAM4ART Creative Showcase Programme in Lagos at the end of March 2024. 

The collection, made from up-cycled textile waste as well as batik and cotton, is one of Dexy Creation’s staple collections. As the name Afara — which means bridge — suggests, the collection is closely aligned with the brand’s stance on sustainability and women empowerment. The “bridge” represents the point in the life of a woman where she crosses into an era of self-realisation concerning her position in society. AFARA SS24 is a celebration of craftsmanship, sustainability and womanhood.
