Nearly 15 years ago, Tiwa Savage burst into our ears with her classic, Kele Kele Love, the self-released track was on everyone’s lips as we sang, “I no do kele kele love, kele kele love ooo.” Since then, she has dominated the charts, had sold-out tours, and garnered the title Queen Of Afrobeats. Now she is bringing her talents to the screen as an executive producer and actress.

As we shiver in anticipation of May 10th, the launch of her debut film on Prime Video titled Water & Garri; the journey to the big unveil has already begun as Savage hosted a premiere in London last week at The Cinema, Selfridges.

The movie Water & Garri is a collaborative effort between Unbound Studios and JM Films, with Meji Alabi as the director and Comfort Emmanuel as the writer. It stars Andrew Yaw Bunting, Mike Afolarin, and Jemima Osunde in prominent roles.

The movie's plot revolves around Aisha, a thriving fashion designer, who returns to Nigeria after spending ten years in the United States. She is amazed by the significant transformations that have occurred in her homeland and the people she used to know.
