It is the second quarter of 2024 and Joy Akhigbe has announced her most recent addition to her portfolio as the Kuwaj brand ambassador. Akhigbe who is never one to shy away from the camera, found herself nervous for this one. This is because, for the 20-year-old model, Kuwaj is more than a brand whose campaign she is the face of; it is also a brand she created.

“I wanted people to know Kuwaj was for every woman. Yes, I am skinny but it is not only for skinny women. Everyone looks good in Kuwaj and it is for everyone. It is inclusive, we have a wide range of sizes and I am happy that people can see that. We have had purchases of different sizes, my most recent sale was a size 14. I hoped for this, and all that work was not in vain.”
